Residential girls' summer camp Sweden, Maine

Tapawingo is a place where girls spend their summer days in our encouraging environment. They play, they learn, they share companionship. And they do all this in the fresh New England air. Tapawingo is a place for a girl to develop character and good values, a sense of personal responsibility and independence, and good judgment as well. Sessions: 4 weeks (first-time campers) and 7 weeks. You'll get better at the sports you like and you'll discover some sports you've never tried before.

We play tennis, soccer, volleyball, newcomb, basketball, lacrosse, softball, kickball and hockey. We also include archery, track and field, gymnastics and ropes.

Kippewa For Girls
Residential girls' summer camp Monmouth, Maine

The caring, nurturing ambiance of Kippewa sets a girl at ease with who she is, giving her the confidence to make friends easily and feel comfortable about trying challenging new activities. Enrollment is limited to 140 campers. This intimate size allows the directors to personally know the campers and their parents, and assures that the camp's many opportunities are readily available to every girl. Kippewa is large enough to have plenty of girls in every age group and to support a lavish activities program, and small enough so that everyone in camp gets to know everyone else.

Four decades of expanding opportunities have created camps-within-camps at Kippewa For Girls: There are major programs in horseback riding, studio and performing arts, gymnastics, tennis, field sports, water sports and wilderness camping trips.

Our all girls program uses professional clinical therapy and outdoor adventure in a caring atmosphere, to help teen girls find a higher level of self awareness, confidence, self-respect, and an appreciation for others. Licensed by the State of Maine.
